Production - Exterior

BiltWise Structures, LLC is a systems built housing company based out of Greenwood, SC. We build modular houses in a factory setting. Purpose:
Responsible for overseeing all exterior work to ensure it meets BiltWise's quality standards. This includes managing the installation, finishing, and maintenance of exterior components in the production of modular homes. The role ensures that all exterior elements are durable, aesthetically appealing, and compliant with project specifications before homes are ready for site delivery.

Business Outcomes:

• BiltWise houses leave for site with fully completed and high-quality exterior finishes.
• Exterior work is completed with precision and attention to detail, contributing to the overall curb appeal and durability of our modular homes.

Essential Functions:

• Lead the installation and finishing of exterior siding, roofing, trim, windows, doors, and other exterior elements according to plans and specifications.
• Supervise and perform exterior cladding installation, ensuring all components are securely attached and sealed to protect against weather elements.
• Inspect and troubleshoot exterior components, ensuring all elements are structurally sound, aesthetically aligned, and meet project standards before site delivery.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of exterior work with the overall construction schedule and other trades (e.g., carpentry, electrical).
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards, building codes, and quality benchmarks for exterior finishes.
• Identify and address any exterior issues or defects, including gaps, misalignments, or installation errors, prior to module shipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, promoting safety and efficiency in the exterior production area.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Strong understanding of exterior building materials, construction methods, and best practices for siding, roofing, windows, and doors.
• Skilled in the use of power tools, hand tools, and equipment for cutting, measuring, and installing exterior materials.
• Leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a small team and coordinate with other departments.
• Problem-solving abilities to identify and address issues with exterior installations efficiently.
• Physical stamina for lifting heavy materials, working at heights, and performing tasks that require standing, bending, or reaching for extended periods.
