Our Taproom Manager oversees daily brewery taproom operations, focusing on maximizing revenue, ensuring exceptional customer service, and managing staff. Key duties include hiring and training staff, scheduling staff, foot trucks, & music, inventory management, event planning, and upholding safety/health standards. This role requires beer knowledge, POS proficiency, and a hands-on approach to leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Leadership: Manage day-to-day operations, including opening/closing, cleaning protocols, and maintaining a welcoming environment.
Staff Management: Recruit, train, mentor, and schedule, ensuring bartenders are knowledgeable about products and service standards.
Customer Service & Experience: Deliver excellent guest service, build brand loyalty, and resolve customer complaints.
Inventory & Purchasing: Monitor inventory levels of beer, merchandise, and supplies; order inventory, manage food truck & music schedules, and maintain draft systems.
Events & Sales: Coordinate, create, and execute special events, on-site, and off-site activations.
Financial Accountability: When the GM is unavailable you will handle cash management, prepare tips for payroll, and analyze sales data to meet revenue goals
Perform additional duties as assigned by GM.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: 1–2 years of restaurant or taproom management experience. Extensive taproom experience and be substituted for management experience.
Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of craft beer and brewery operations.
Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with proficiency in POS systems (e.g., Toast) and software (e.g., Google Suite/Excel).
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand/walk for long periods, and lift 50 pounds (e.g., kegs).
Requirements: Must be 21 years old and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays (except Thanksgiving & Christmas).
Taproom upkeep: Ensure the taproom is clean, stocked, and in good working condition. Light repair work may be required
