The Service Advisor is responsible for greeting customers, understanding their vehicle concerns, and managing the service process from check-in through completion. This role ensures every customer receives professional communication, accurate estimates, and timely updates throughout their service experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally as they arrive for service.
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately document repair requests and vehicle information.
- Create repair orders and clearly communicate recommended services and pricing.
- Coordinate repair scheduling with technicians and ensure efficient workflow in the shop.
- Maintain regular communication with customers regarding repair status, additional findings, and completion times.
- Review work performed and explain invoices to customers upon vehicle delivery.
- Ensure all repairs are completed to manufacturer and company standards.
- Handle warranty, recall, and maintenance work documentation accurately.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers to promote trust and retention.

Qualifications
- 2 years of experience as a Service Advisor in an automotive dealership or repair facility preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Basic mechanical understanding of vehicle systems and maintenance.
- Experience with dealership management systems (Dealertrack, CDK, or similar) preferred.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple repair orders at once.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
