Support students with behavioral challenges as a paraprofessional at a school location in Sterling Heights, MI. This contract position offers 35 hours per week from ASAP through June 11, 2026. You will provide essential 1:1 or classroom assistance, helping implement behavior intervention plans while fostering academic engagement and collaborating closely with teachers and support staff to promote student success and safety.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering instructional and behavioral support tailored to individual student needs
- Assisting with behavior intervention plan implementation
- Engaging students academically in both individual and classroom settings
- Working alongside educators and support personnel to ensure a safe, supportive learning environment
Qualifications and experience desired:
- At least one full school year of experience supporting students with behavioral challenges and special needs in a school setting
- CPI Certification is preferred
- Must meet at least ONE of the following:• Minimum of 60 college credits• Associate degree or higher• Passing score on the ParaPro Assessment
