Support students in a dynamic special education environment within an elementary school setting located in Denver, CO. This contract opportunity offers a commitment through May 22, 2026, with a start date as soon as possible. Candidates will provide one-on-one and small group assistance to students with significant and severe special needs, contributing to their academic and personal success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with instructional activities in special education classrooms.
- Support students toileting and diapering needs as required.
- Adapt to flexible assignments, including potential reassignment to different school sites or age groups.
- Comply with all district requirements, including immediate fingerprinting following offer acceptance.
- Maintain punctuality by reporting to work at 7:40 am for elementary school settings.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to create a supportive learning environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of one full year of experience working in special education classrooms.
- Preference given to candidates with experience supporting significant and severe caseloads.
- Must have reliable transportation to report to the assigned school site.
- Candidates must have two completed Professional RefAssured references available at the time of applicationcandidates without these references will not be considered.
- Ability to work at or below the $25 hourly rate.
- Flexibility to work across various school sites and with different student age groups as needed.
