As part of the Extended School Year (ESY) initiative, you’ll provide crucial speech-language services to students with a range of needs, including those with moderate to severe disabilities and behavioral challenges. This position requires flexibility regarding classroom assignments and site locations, always with effort made to minimize your commute and match your expertise with student requirements.
What We’re Looking For:
- Active Pennsylvania SLP-CCC licensure (required by PDE)
- Prior experience delivering speech-language therapy in school settings
- Ability to support students with diverse communication and behavioral needs
- Comfortable working Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–3:00 PM, from late June through July
- Willingness to attend mandatory training and orientation prior to start
- Reliable personal transportation and residence within 35 minutes of assigned site
- Strong organization, communication, and adaptability skills
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy tailored to IEP goals
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and team members to support student progress
- Document attendance, progress, and service delivery accurately and promptly
- Participate in orientation, professional development, and team meetings
- Respond to behavioral challenges with empathy and skill
- Uphold all school district and Pennsylvania Department of Education requirements
