A Special Education Teacher position is available in Berkeley, CA, supporting students in a transitional kindergarten program. This contract role requires working onsite Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with potential for a next school year fill as well.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students with special needs in a transitional kindergarten setting.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student progress.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student performance and compliance.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution.
- California Education Specialist Instruction Credential.
- Valid California Teaching Credential (CTC).
- Experience working with a transitional kindergarten special education caseload preferred.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, procedures, and effective instructional strategies.
