A Special Education teaching opportunity is available in Concord, CA, supporting a transitional kindergarten program within a well-established school district. This contract role offers a consistent 37.5 hours per week, onsite work environment, beginning immediately and extending through June 11, 2026, with potential for a next school year (NSY) extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of transitional kindergarten students in a special education setting.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting strategies to meet diverse learning requirements.
- Maintain detailed documentation and comply with district policies and legal requirements.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student growth and development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential.
- Credential issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).
- Experience working with young learners in special education preferred.
- Ability to work onsite with adherence to district guidelines; virtual support is not available for this role.
