Make a difference this summer by supporting students as a school-based Social Worker! This contract opportunity spans from June 18 to July 17, with workdays scheduled between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM (hours subject to change). You’ll offer essential social services at campuses in both McMurray and Waynesburg, delivering support to a caseload of 12 students during Extended School Year (ESY) programming. You’ll participate in the inservice on June 18, and begin student-facing work on June 22, with the program concluding July 17.
Desired Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Pennsylvania School Social Worker Certificate
- Previous experience as a School Social Worker strongly preferred
- Ability to commute comfortably to both McMurray and Waynesburg campuses
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
- Commitment to culturally responsive and trauma-informed practice
- Excellent time management and adaptability to changing needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct social-emotional support and counseling services to ESY students
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to address student needs
- Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in a timely, confidential manner
- Participate in inservice and team meetings as required
- Adapt services to each student’s unique needs and circumstances
