Both ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) holders and Clinical Fellows (CFYs) will be considered. Caseload assignments—ranging from elementary to middle school—are thoughtfully tailored to your preferences and skillset, and each SLP’s comfort with caseload size and school location will be discussed during your interview.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Maryland SLP license required
- Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC) preferred, but strong CFYs considered
- At least one year of prior school-based experience preferred (strong references/unique experience may substitute)
- Experience with elementary and/or middle school students encouraged
- Images of active licensure must be provided at time of application
- Willingness to undergo time-sensitive credentialing, including a House Bill background check
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to students across up to three school sites, with assignments such as four days in one school and one in another
- Manage a caseload that is reasonable and aligned to your experience (e.g., elementary max 40, middle school around 48, with peak caseloads to 57 at the busiest times)
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and district supervisors to optimize student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and documentation as required
- Commit to a consistent schedule, with preference for 35 hours/week or a minimum of three days per week
