Step into an impactful role supporting students from PreK through 12th grade as a Registered Nurse in a dynamic school setting near Jersey City, NJ. This contract position spans from September 1 through the end of the school year and offers a highly organized environment, guided by a supportive supervisor. You’ll work on a per diem basis, fostering student health and safety across various schools.

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN license in New Jersey
• Prior school nursing experience and specialized school credentials strongly preferred
• Experience or comfort in bus riding for field trips and providing coverage in the front office as needed
• Confident managing daily medications, diabetes care, and implementing seizure protocols
• Ability to work across multiple school buildings spanning PreK through 12th grade environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to students, managing chronic and acute medical needs in a school setting
• Administer daily medications, treatments, and emergency care in line with established protocols
• Monitor and respond to health concerns such as diabetes, seizure activity, and other common pediatric needs
• Accompany students on field trips, ensuring health and safety during bus travel and off-site experiences
• Offer nursing support in front office and collaborate with staff as needed
• Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students, promoting a safe and supportive environment
