Registered Nurse School Setting - Jersey City, NJ

An exciting contract opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with school-based experience to support elementary and middle school students. Enjoy working full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM for the upcoming academic year—beginning September 4th and ending June 25th. This position offers the rewarding chance to provide vital health services and oversight across entire school buildings while making a difference in a vibrant learning community near Jersey City, NJ.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with School Nurse certification in New Jersey
• Previous experience working in a school setting is required
• Comfortable managing caseloads across both elementary and middle school levels
• Ability to serve an entire school’s population and oversee multiple buildings as needed
• Reliable transportation for daily commute; must be within a reasonable distance
• Willingness to undergo onboarding requirements (TB test, physical exam, agency/district fingerprinting)
• LPN candidates are not eligible for this position

Essential Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing services to students, including routine care, medication administration, and emergency response
• Collaborate with educators, staff, and parents to promote student well-being
• Maintain accurate health records and manage compliance with healthcare protocols
• Oversee student health needs for assigned school(s) and adapt care to evolving situations
• Serve as a resource for health education and preventative care
