This contract position will support an elementary school with a focus on self-contained classrooms serving students with autism. Position Details:Location: Schaumburg, IL (onsite only)Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week (3 days/week); flexible to split hours across 45 days if neededDuration: Mid-April start (may begin sooner) through May 28Caseload: One elementary school site with students primarily in self-contained autism classroomsResponsibilities:Provide occupational therapy services aligned with individualized education program (IEP) goalsCollaborate with special education staff and classroom teams to enhance student functional skills and access within self-contained autism programsSupport student participation and developmental progress through tailored OT interventions Qualifications:Active Illinois OT license or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification as applicableExperience working with students with autism is preferredStrong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators and multidisciplinary teamsThis temporary role offers a meaningful opportunity to positively impact students with autism by providing critical occupational therapy services within a school environment.
