Desired Qualifications:
- Current, valid New Jersey physical therapy license (required)
- School-based or pediatric physical therapy experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable traveling between multiple schools as needed
- Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds K-12
- Outstanding communication, adaptability, and collaboration skills
- Ability to meet New Jersey on-boarding requirements including TB test, physical, and fingerprints for both agency and school district
- Willingness to complete a Zoom interview as part of the hiring process
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapeutic interventions designed to increase student independence and functional mobility in the school setting
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized physical therapy services for students across the district
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student goals and progress
- Document evaluations, treatment plans, and service notes in compliance with district and state standards
- Travel between various district schools as needed to provide consistent therapy services
- Act as a resource for staff and families regarding adaptive equipment and classroom modifications
