Qualifications:
- Active RN license in Illinois
- Previous experience as a School Nurse, or Certified School Nurse (CSN) preferred
- Familiarity with health protocols applicable to school-aged children
- Ability to conduct health assessments and care planning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care to students for illness, injury, and chronic health conditions
- Develop and implement individualized health care plans for students as needed
- Serve as a health resource for faculty, staff, and parents, offering guidance on medical policy and wellness initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation of health services delivered and ensure compliance with state and district regulations
- Administer medications and oversee immunization compliance
- Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
