This contract position provides an opportunity to support K8 students with high-intensity severe needs in a structured educational setting. Serving a population with autism and significant behavioral challenges, including aggressive and self-injurious behaviors, you will play a critical role in delivering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions and safety protocols.
Location: Levittown, PA (Main office located in Doylestown, PA)
Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM 3:30 PM, 37.5 hours/week
Duration: ASAP through June 12, 2026 (aligned with the school calendar)
Orientation: Mandatory biweekly sessions, 8:30 AM 4:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement ABA strategies tailored to students with severe behavioral needs
- Monitor and respond to aggressive, self-injurious, and other high-intensity behaviors
- Maintain a safe, supportive environment following established safety interventions
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support individual student goals
- Participate in mandatory orientation and ongoing training sessions
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of ABA paraprofessional experience in education
- Proven experience supporting students with autism and severe behavior challenges
- Comfortable working within highly structured behavioral environments
- Knowledge of safety interventions and crisis prevention strategies
- Reside within 35 minutes of Levittown, PA
Educational/ Credential Requirements:
- Must meet at least one: 48 college credits, associate degree or higher, CDA, or Credential of Competency
- Candidates without current qualification must complete a 7-module paraprofessional training and obtain credential within 60 days of onboarding
