This contract opportunity centers on supporting students’ growth and success with in-person OT services. Candidates will deliver approximately 1,000 minutes of direct student contact weekly, ensuring an impactful, hands-on presence within the school community.
Set in the beautiful and welcoming area near Wasilla, AK, you'll be engaged with students, teachers, and families to foster progress and independence. The workweek is a consistent 37.5 hours, aligning with the school calendar until 5/21/27. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in collaborative educational settings and are passionate about student-centered therapy.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy licensure in Alaska (OTR required)
- TYPE C Certification required
- Preference for those who already hold, or are eligible for, AK Certification
- Experience providing OT services in a school environment is a plus
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Committed to in-person delivery of services (remote work not available at this time)
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and adapt to various student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted, in-person occupational therapy to students according to individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance student outcomes
- Document progress, maintain records, and participate in meetings as required
- Consult with teachers and families to implement strategies supporting student development
- Participate in professional development as needed
