Join a dedicated educational environment supporting students with severe needs in a paraprofessional role at a specialized school serving grades K-8. This contract position offers the opportunity to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, supporting high-intensity behavioral interventions in a structured setting.
Location: Norristown, PA area (within 35 minutes of Levittown, PA)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to students with autism and severe behavioral needs.
- Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions and safety protocols.
- Respond effectively to aggressive and self-injurious behaviors.
- Collaborate with educators and behavioral specialists in a highly structured environment.
- Participate in mandatory orientation every other week from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum one year of ABA paraprofessional experience working with students exhibiting severe behavioral challenges.
- Knowledge of and comfort with high-intensity behaviors and safety interventions.
- Reside within 35 minutes of Levittown, PA.
- Meet at least one credential requirement: 48 college credits, Associate degree or higher, Child Development Associate (CDA), or Credential of Competency.
- If not currently credentialed, completion of a 7-module paraprofessional training during onboarding and submission of credentials within 60 days is required.
Preferred Experience:
- Supporting students with autism.
- Skilled in ABA methodologies and severe behavior management.
