This opportunity allows you to work directly with students in Pre-K through high school, including those in ACCESS and county programs, making a real difference every day.
Qualifications:
- Meet one of the following: Associate's degree or higher; 48 college units and a high school diploma; passing CBEST and a high school diploma; or passing the instructional aide exam and a high school diploma.
- Additional certifications or experience may include: First Aid/CPR, emergency medication administration, physical health care (g-tube feeding, blood glucose testing, nebulizer use), sign language fluency, Braille coursework, experience with social-emotional/behavioral needs, or a California Vocational Nursing License.
- Team-oriented mindset with willingness to assist students with feeding, toileting/diapering, mobility, and other daily needs as assigned by the campus.
- Flexibility to serve at any school site and perform all required duties without preference for specific assignments.
- Commitment to complete all ongoing required training.
Responsibilities:
- Support classroom instruction under the guidance of certified staff.
- Aid students with various physical, medical, and behavioral needs.
- Employ skills such as de-escalation, positive reinforcement, and assistive technology as needed.
- Participate in ongoing trainings (CPR, first aid, specialized healthcare tasks).
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Assignment Details:
- ESY runs June 15 to July 17 (dates and daily schedules vary by program/grade).
- Monday–Friday schedule; holidays observed June 19 and July 3.
- Placement is determined by current school site needs—flexibility is essential.
