Desired Qualifications:
- Valid EIPA score of 4.0 or higher, reflecting exceptional interpreting skill
- Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in an educational setting is highly valued
- Strong command of American Sign Language and familiarity with interpreting in school environments
- Comfort working exclusively in-person with elementary-aged students
- Demonstrated ability to partner closely with teachers, support staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate, age-appropriate sign language interpretation for classroom instruction, activities, and peer interactions
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning space for the assigned student
- Consult with educators to support lesson access and adapt communication as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical interpreting standards
