School Registered Nurse (RN) in Stroudsburg, PA

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a positive impact on student wellness by providing essential health support during a summer school session. This contract opportunity offers a chance to work onsite from July 6 to July 30, Monday through Thursday, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. You'll be ensuring student safety and well-being within an engaging school environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Pennsylvania RN or LPN license
• Certification as an Educational Specialist by Pennsylvania Department of Education
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Current Red Cross CPR and First Aid Instructor credentials
• 3–5 years’ nursing experience preferred, particularly in pediatrics or school nursing
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, and reach
• Capability to lift or carry 10–25 pounds and move independently throughout school facilities

Responsibilities:

• Assess and respond to student illness or injury, administering first aid as necessary
• Deliver preventive health services to foster students’ physical, emotional, and social well-being
• Provide instruction to students, staff, and families on health-related topics
• Maintain proactive communication regarding student health concerns with families and school personnel
• Uphold accurate documentation in line with district policies
• Support a safe and inclusive environment for all students
