Make a positive impact on student wellness by providing essential health support during a summer school session. This contract opportunity offers a chance to work onsite from July 6 to July 30, Monday through Thursday, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. You'll be ensuring student safety and well-being within an engaging school environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Pennsylvania RN or LPN license
- Certification as an Educational Specialist by Pennsylvania Department of Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current Red Cross CPR and First Aid Instructor credentials
- 3–5 years’ nursing experience preferred, particularly in pediatrics or school nursing
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, and reach
- Capability to lift or carry 10–25 pounds and move independently throughout school facilities
Responsibilities:
- Assess and respond to student illness or injury, administering first aid as necessary
- Deliver preventive health services to foster students’ physical, emotional, and social well-being
- Provide instruction to students, staff, and families on health-related topics
- Maintain proactive communication regarding student health concerns with families and school personnel
- Uphold accurate documentation in line with district policies
- Support a safe and inclusive environment for all students
