Responsibilities
- Lead daily kitchen operations with consistency, accuracy, and a calm, professional demeanor.
- Guide and support team members across all kitchen stations.
- Oversee inventory, ordering, and product quality for the kitchen team.
- Assist in the training and ongoing development of Chef de Parties and Commis Chefs.
- Support the Chef de Cuisine and Executive Sous Chef with staff scheduling and kitchen logistics.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace during prep and service.
- Execute dishes using both modern and classic techniques, with exacting attention to detail.
- Follow and uphold Alinea’s culinary standards and recipes with precision.
- Uphold a positive and inclusive kitchen culture through leadership and example.
- Communicate effectively and collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless service.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
- 5 years of experience as a Chef de Partie and/or 2 years in a Sous Chef role
- Deep commitment to hospitality and culinary excellence
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure, chef-driven kitchen
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to take direction, shift priorities quickly, and maintain a positive attitude under pressure
- Ability to work collaboratively with a tight-knit team
- Ability to stand for 8 hours per shift
- Able to lift, move, or pull items up to 35 lbs and carry a full tray with one hand
- Comfortable climbing stairs multiple times per shift
