We are currently seeking a full time first grade assistant teacher for the 2025-26 academic year. This position is to provide support to the three first grade teachers and take small groups as needed. This is a great opportunity for a student pursuing an education degree.
Experience and Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in elementary education or a related field; or working towards advanced degree
Experience in teaching literacy, phonics, reading
Experience working with elementary aged children
Patience, flexibility, and a sense of humor
A solid understanding of child development, varied learning styles, and effective strategies for dealing with such differences
Well-developed, effective classroom management skills
Strong organization skills
Works well in a collaborative model with other administrators, teachers, and parents
Experience with integrating technology into the classroom
Ability to engage and inspire students, parents, and families
Compensation:
