Overview:
BHI is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Foundation Operations Intern to support our annual Employee Appreciation campaign. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in philanthropy and operations within a senior living organization. The intern will work closely with the Director of Foundation Operations and Advancement, assisting with various tasks and projects to support our foundation's initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize the Blackbaud/Raiser’s Edge fundraising database for data entry, reporting, and analysis.
- Acknowledge donations promptly and accurately.
- Update constituent information in the database to ensure records are current and accurate.
- Assist in planning and executing the employee appreciation campaign.
- Provide administrative support to the Foundation Operations Coordinator as needed.
- Participate in meetings and brainstorming sessions to contribute ideas and insights.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program related to philanthropic studies or a related field.
- Strong interest in learning about philanthropy, particularly within the senior living sector.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- No prior work experience required; however, a proactive and eager-to-learn attitude is essential.
