What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Supervisor position at BGSF?
Are you a hands-on leader who takes pride in keeping a community running smoothly? We’re looking for a Maintenance Supervisor who can lead by example, drive quality, and create a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for residents.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead and oversee daily maintenance operations across the property
- Walk the community daily to ensure curb appeal overall property standards
- Manage unit turns / make-readies to ensure apartments are move-in ready
- Perform final inspections prior to move-in (quality is everything!)
- Handle work orders efficiently (48-hour turnaround or less)
- Coordinate vendors for landscaping, snow removal, and repairs
- Jump in on repairs when needed: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliances
- Maintain inventory stay ahead with preventative maintenance planning
- Ensure safety standards and compliance are always met
What We’re Looking For:
- 3 years of maintenance or construction experience
- Strong skills in:
- HVAC (heat pumps / forced air systems)
- Plumbing, electrical, carpentry
- Appliance repair pool maintenance
- Leadership mindset – you can lead a team and own your building
- Comfortable using systems for work orders scheduling
- Valid driver’s license required
