The Opportunity
Beyond Housing is seeking a dynamic and experienced Community Development Manager to join our leadership team. This is a high-impact role for a strategic thinker and skilled communicator who is passionate about community development and housing. The Manager will lead our Moving to Work (MTW) initiatives, oversee resident services, develop and nurture partnerships throughout the service area, drive fundraising and grant development, develop and nurture partnerships throughout the service area, and help shape the long-term direction of our organization. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to improve the lives of residents and the broader Bristol community.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate Moving to Work (MTW) program activities and HUD compliance, including annual submissions of the Supplement
- Oversee resident services programs, including the Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program
- Write and manage competitive grant proposals from federal, state, foundation, and corporate sources
- Ensure accurate and timely grant reporting and compliance
- Lead organizational policy and program development initiatives
- Serve on the leadership team, contribute to strategic planning, and represent Beyond Housing in the community
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Social Work, Community Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in community development, housing, or a related field
- Demonstrated success in grant writing and securing federal, state, and foundation funding
- Knowledge of HUD regulations and public housing programs; MTW experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and community engagement skills
