JOB SUMMARY:
The Manager of Manufacturing Quality and Development is responsible for oversight of Employment Support Services (ESS) quality assurance program to include inspection processes, training on quality systems, investigation and resolution of quality problems, and new development in collaboration with customers on quality-related issues.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide supervisory functions for assigned staff to afford opportunities for professional development and to ensure direct reports engaged in inspection processes are knowledgeable of and trained in applicable quality systems and specifications/standards for manufacturing operations and products.
- Generate required product specification assurance documents and applicable inspection process documentation and participate in ongoing enhancement of ESS quality assurance system.
- Ensure the provision of incoming, in-process, and end-item inspection of materials/supplies, operations, and finished products.
- Plan and direct the activities of Quality Auditors in the successful implementation of quality assurance systems.
- Initiate interaction with facility/operations managers and production supervisors to identify and resolve quality-related problems.
- In collaboration with ESS management, serve as an Employment Support Services representative in working with customers on quality-related issues.
- Assist management in the start up and processing of new jobs and training of staff and operators engaged in associated manufacturing operations of existing and new products.
OTHER DUTIES:
- Participate in the Agency's accident-prevention program and actively promote safe practices in the delivery of services and manufacturing of products.
- Participate in meetings held for a variety of purposes including production, in-service training, administration, etc.

Job Requirements
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High school education or GED
Five (5) years of related successful experience in all areas of quality assurance in a manufacturing environment.
