Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation of hardscape elements such as pavers, stonework, retaining walls, and decorative features using hand tools and power tools
- Prepare concrete mixes with mixers, ensuring proper consistency for pouring and finishing tasks
- Finish concrete surfaces by smoothing, leveling, and applying textures to meet project specifications
- Operate heavy equipment including concrete pumps, mixers, and other machinery safely and efficiently
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to understand project requirements and specifications
- Perform rebar installation to reinforce concrete structures according to safety standards and engineering plans
- Support renovation projects by executing framing, carpentry, stucco application, caulking, or roofing tasks as needed
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials such as stone blocks, concrete forms, or equipment while maintaining proper safety protocols
- Maintain a clean and organized work site by managing hand tools, power tools, and materials effectively
- Collaborate with team members to ensure quality workmanship and timely project completion
Qualifications
- Prior experience in construction sites or related fields is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is highly valued
- Mechanical knowledge including operation of concrete mixers, pumps, power tools, and heavy equipment
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans accurately
- Knowledge of masonry techniques such as rebar installation, tile laying, flooring installation, plastering, or metal stud framing is a plus
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to construction sites including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills in concrete finishing, hardscape installation, or restoration projects
- Valid driver’s license for commercial driving or operating heavy equipment may be advantageous
