Busy multi-specialty medical practice is looking for an experienced Medical Biller to join our administrative team. We will train the right candidate on our billing systems and specialty-specific coding.
Responsibilities:
- Process and submit claims for urology-specific CPT and ICD-10 codes
- Follow up on denials, rejections, and unpaid claims
- Post payments, reconcile EOBs/ERAs, and manage AR aging
- Communicate with insurance carriers regarding claim status and appeals
- Coordinate with management on coding accuracy and documentation
Requirements:
- 2–5 years of medical billing experience (specialty/surgical billing a plus)
- Working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and payer requirements (HMO'S, Medicare, Medi-Cal, Commercial)
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through on aging claims
- EHR/billing software experience helpful; training provided on our system
