POSITION SUMMARY:
The Business Analyst will partner with cross-functional stakeholders across operations, manufacturing, engineering, project management, and customer-facing teams to identify gaps in current systems, opportunities for digital transformation, and process improvements that drive operational excellence. The BA is responsible for bridging business needs with platform solutions throughout the entire use case lifecycle—from design through implementation, delivery, and ongoing support. The BA will facilitate requirements gathering sessions, translate business requirements into technical specifications, design and execute user acceptance testing, and collaborate with Platform Architects and development teams to ensure solutions deliver measurable business value.
In summary, the BA will be a proactive leader and strategic partner, focusing on industrial operations workflows, anticipating opportunities for automation and AI-driven insights, identifying inefficiencies, and initiating discussions with business leaders to enable predictive, transparent, and scalable program delivery.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may.")
- Engages with cross-functional stakeholders across operations, manufacturing, engineering, and project management to understand strategic vision, operational challenges, and digital transformation objectives.
- Leads requirements gathering sessions and workshops to elicit business needs, document current-state workflows, identify pain points, and define future-state capabilities with clear success criteria.
- Translates business requirements into technical documentation, including functional specifications, process flows, data mappings, wireframes, acceptance criteria, and requirements traceability matrices (RTMs).
- Facilitates collaboration throughout the project lifecycle, organizing sprint planning, backlog refinement, and design reviews to align teams, resolve roadblocks, and ensure requirements clarity.
- Designs and executes User Acceptance Testing (UAT), developing test scenarios, coordinating execution, documenting results, and validating that solutions meet business requirements.
- Collaborates with Platform Architects, Data Engineers, and Developers to evaluate technical feasibility, recommend configurations, coordinate testing, and align business needs with technical implementation.
- Drives continuous improvement by analyzing user feedback, monitoring KPIs and adoption metrics, identifying enhancements, and supporting change management to maximize business value
- Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Successfully passes all applicable general pre-employment testing including but not limited to: background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment fit tests, pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
- Possess a valid U.S. Driver's License. Employment is contingent upon meeting company driving standards, including an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with Company policy.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, Business Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial operations, manufacturing, or field service domain business environment or similar role with a focus on technology integration and analytics.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working with enterprise platforms (ERP, Atlassian Jira, ORACLE / SQL Databases, Azure Blob, Power BI /Sigma/Grafana Reporting).
- Proven experience gathering requirements and delivering digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (operations, engineering, IT, finance, customers).
- Familiarity with agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and product development lifecycle.
- May be required to perform or learn technical functions at a modest to reasonable level.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Services (preferred).

- Agile Certifications (Scrum Master Certified, Certified Scrum Product Owner, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager).
- Business analysis certifications (CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA).
- Process improvement certifications (Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt).

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES:
- 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in industrial operations, manufacturing, project management, or field service environments, with a proven track record of delivering digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience with enterprise platform implementation and integration, including ERP systems (Oracle Fusion, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics), project management tools (Primavera P6, MS Project), and workflow automation/orchestration platforms.
- Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies, including requirements elicitation, process mapping, user story development, and Agile/Scrum frameworks, with hands-on experience in sprint planning and backlog management.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and data analysis, with the ability to extract insights from operational databases, ERP systems, and data warehouses to support requirements validation and KPI tracking.
- Expertise in data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, Sigma, or Grafana, including experience with data modeling and creating dashboards for program visibility.
- Experience documenting and optimizing complex business processes across manufacturing, supply chain, project delivery, or asset management, with proficiency in process mapping tools (Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, BPMN).
- Hands-on experience designing and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test case development, defect tracking, and stakeholder coordination to ensure platform solutions meet business requirements.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate ambiguous business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, and technical specifications for cross-functional teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to facilitate workshops, present to executives, and collaborate effectively across business, technical, and customer-facing teams.
- Domain knowledge in industrial operations, including familiarity with manufacturing workflows, project scheduling, predictive maintenance, supply chain coordination, or customer service delivery in B2B environments.
- Experience with low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform, ServiceNow, Appian, OutSystems) or AI/ML platforms (e.g., Palantir Foundry, Databricks, DataRobot) for workflow automation and predictive analytics. (preferred)

Frequently required to walk, sit, climb, bend, reach, and squat/kneel. The Business Analyst works primarily indoors and will be sitting for prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities. The Business Analyst may be required to lift heavy objects; therefore, the Business Analyst must be able to lift 25lbs.
