What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at Betsy Altadena?
We’re looking for a few folks to join the family here at Betsy. Job descriptions are below - that’s the easy stuff. The important stuff is how we do what we do. We’re a tight-knit team that looks out for each other, for the restaurant, for our guests, and our community. We lead with integrity and kindness in every area of our business. Half of us swore off restaurants until we started working together. We don’t do restaurant drama or gossip. We share stories, make memories, have dinner together before service, and pitch in on a wonderfully meaningful restaurant. Oh and we make good money as a byproduct of doing everything else.
- Greet and seat guests with warmth and professionalism
- Manage reservations and coordinate seating flow
- Review same-day and next-day reservation notes and find/solve problems
- Answer reservation emails and assist with guest inquiries in a timely manner
- Work closely with service staff to ensure smooth operations
- Ability to recognize repeat guests, be able to engage with notable reservations as well as first-time diners
- Familiarity with reservation platforms (Resy or similar)
- Passion for hospitality and creating special moments

Salary : $18 - $21
