Position Overview
The Middle School Teacher Interventionist supports student learning and growth by overseeing the school’s MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) process, providing enrichment opportunities for AIG (Academically or Intellectually Gifted) students, and delivering targeted interventions for students who need additional academic support. This role uses school-wide data to guide instruction, pull small groups, and ensure all students are challenged and supported to meet their learning goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the MTSS process, including monitoring interventions, progress tracking, and collaborating with teachers to address student needs.
- Provide enrichment opportunities and differentiated support for AIG students.
- Pull small groups of students for targeted instruction throughout the day based on school-wide data and academic goals.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to identify students in need of support and develop appropriate interventions.
- Analyze academic and behavioral data to inform instructional planning and support strategies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of school-wide academic programs and initiatives.
- Communicate regularly with students, families, and staff regarding intervention plans and student progress.
- Participate in professional development to stay current on best practices in MTSS, differentiation, and gifted education.
Qualifications
- Valid teaching license for the appropriate grade level.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills

- Experience with MTSS, small-group interventions, and differentiated instruction.
- Knowledge of AIG program standards and enrichment strategies preferred.
