Position Overview
Bethany Community School is seeking a versatile Middle School Elective Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. Elective teachers provide instruction in courses that encourage student exploration, creativity, and skill development. While specific courses may vary each year based on student interest and enrollment, electives could include areas such as theatre arts, student news, journalism, entrepreneurship, or other exploratory subjects. Teachers may teach 1–2 courses depending on enrollment and scheduling needs.
Key Responsibilities

- Develop lessons aligned with school and state standards

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (preferred)
- North Carolina teaching license preferred, or ability to obtain
