Staff Accountant

Position Summary
The Staff Accountant supports the Business & Finance Office by performing accurate and timely accounting functions critical to the institution's financial operations. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a proactive, self-directed work style.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and post accurate journal entries
Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Assist with month-end and year-end close
Support audit preparation and documentation
Analyze financial data and investigate variances
Assist with general ledger, restricted funds, and departmental accounting
Collaborate with campus partners
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage deadlines independently
Strong organization and communication skills
Technical Skills
Ellucian Colleague (preferred)
Informer reporting
Microsoft Excel (formulas, lookups, pivot tables)
Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Teams)
