Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
- Handle incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries with professionalism.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes, including verifying insurance information.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth operations and effective patient care.
- Provide basic life support when necessary and assist in medication administration as directed by medical professionals.
- Support geriatric patients by understanding their specific needs and providing appropriate assistance.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively in all communications and documentation.
- Assist in the coordination of services within Level I and Level II Trauma Centers as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration is a plus.
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and hospital medicine practices is essential.
- Familiarity with patient service protocols and basic life support techniques is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- At least 2 years experience with eClinicalworks is required
