What are the responsibilities and job description for the Houseman position at Best Western?
Maintenance
As a Maintenance Person, You will partner with the Manager to repair and fix small things on the property so that the hotel maintain functional daily. In peak season you may be required to work some evening shifts.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience with building maintenance or related activities preferred.
- Must have valid driver’s license, personal car insurance.
- Ability to work on your feet for long periods of time (up to four to eight hours per day) and to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work alone and in team environments
- Some house keeping but not all.
Responsibilities:
- Performing maintenance on assigned areas including building exterior repair, fire/life safety, etc.
- Ensuring that assigned areas are maintained in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Ensuring that assigned buildings meet department standards for size, appearance, and functionality.
- Reporting all concerns regarding exterior repair of assigned buildings to appropriate personnel within company personnel files.
- Assisting other personnel as needed in the office or at outside locations for inspections, repairs, etc. for assigned areas of coverage.
