st Western Transmission is hiring a mid-level Transmission & Drivetrain Technician for our Store 001 shop at 920 Delaware Dr, Colorado Springs. We are a local, family-run drivetrain and general repair shop.
This is a hands-on drivetrain role: automatic and manual transmissions, transfer cases, differentials, and driveline, plus general under-car and diagnostic work. You do not need to be a master builder. You need solid diagnostics, clean quality work, and the drive to grow into an A-level tech with us.
What you will do:
- Diagnose and repair transmissions, drivetrains, and driveline components
- Perform R&R and general automotive repair to a high standard
- Road-test and verify repairs, and document work accurately in our shop system
- Keep a clean, safe, organized bay
What we are looking for:
- 2 years of automotive repair experience, ideally with transmission or drivetrain work
- Accurate diagnostics and quality, steady production
- Your own hand tools
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- ASE certification is a plus (not required)
Pay and growth:
- Flat-rate pay starting at $24/hour base and up, based on experience. Strong producers earn more.
- Clear path to A-Tech and Master pay as you prove out.
- Estimated $55,000 to $85,000 per year.
