Best Western Davison Inn is hiring a dependable Hotel Maintenance Technician to keep guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and hotel grounds safe, clean, and in good working order.
Responsibilities:
- Complete routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and assigned work orders
- Diagnose and repair common hotel issues involving plumbing, lighting, basic electrical components, doors, locks, furniture, fixtures, and appliances
- Maintain guest-room equipment, including heating and cooling units, televisions, refrigerators, and other hotel equipment
- Perform painting, drywall patching, caulking, minor carpentry, and general repairs
- Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff
- Support cleanliness by removing trash, cleaning work areas, and assisting with common-area or emergency cleanup when needed
- Inspect exterior areas, parking areas, landscaping, and building entrances for safety or repair needs
- Maintain tools, supplies, maintenance logs, and accurate records of completed work
- Coordinate with management and outside contractors when repairs require licensed or specialized service
- Follow safety procedures, equipment instructions, and applicable building requirements
- Assist other hotel departments when operational needs require it
- Be available for weekends, holidays, and occasional emergency calls as scheduled
Requirements:
- Previous hotel, building, apartment, or facilities-maintenance experience preferred
- Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, painting, carpentry, and general repairs
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Dependable attendance, professional conduct, and good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance requests
- Ability to stand, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds
- A valid driver’s license is preferred
