Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Information Technology Technician role based in Birmingham, AL. The Information Technology Technician will provide day-to-day technical support to employees, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues across offices and shop environments. Responsibilities include installing, configuring, and maintaining workstations, mobile devices, printers, and related peripherals, as well as supporting business applications and user account administration. The technician will respond to help desk tickets, document solutions, and escalate complex issues when needed. The role also involves assisting with user training on basic IT tools, contributing to IT projects, and helping maintain IT asset inventories and security best practices.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Information Technology, including familiarity with operating systems, basic networking concepts, and common business applications.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Technical Support to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues efficiently.
- Demonstrated Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with users of varying technical backgrounds.
- Experience providing Training and guidance to end users on systems, tools, and IT best practices.
- Relevant experience in an IT support or help desk role; HVAC, construction, or field-services industry experience is beneficial.
- Associate degree or technical certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Familiarity with IT ticketing systems, endpoint security tools, and basic IT asset management.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently on-site, and collaborate effectively with a distributed IT team.
