Job Summary
The HVAC Installer is responsible for the professional installation, replacement, and startup of residential HVAC systems while delivering a 5-star customer experience on every job. This position works closely with installers, field leadership, dispatch, warehouse, and customers to ensure installations are completed safely, efficiently, and according to Best Care quality standards. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, dependable, customer-focused, safety-conscious, and committed to personal and professional growth.
Duties & Responsibilities- Install residential HVAC systems, equipment, and accessories according to company standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Safely remove and replace HVAC equipment including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, coils, ductwork, and related components.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite at all times.
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with homeowners throughout the installation process.
- Complete startup, testing, and verification procedures to ensure proper system performance.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Protect customer homes and property during all phases of installation.
- Maintain company vehicle and equipment in clean and organized condition.
- Complete installation paperwork, job notes, photos, and required documentation accurately and timely.
- Attend weekly meetings, training sessions, and ongoing technical development opportunities.
- Participate in rotating on-call or weekend schedules as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Maintain a clean uniform and professional appearance.
- Maintain a clean truck and pass quarterly truck inspections.
- Maintain inventory according to department/company standards.
- Follow the company handbook in accordance with company policy.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of one year HVAC installation experience preferred.
- EPA Certification preferred or ability to obtain.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy equipment regularly.
- Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, rooftops, and confined spaces.
- Ability to climb ladders and work in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crawl, and work with tools for extended periods.
