JOB SUMMARY: The Student Employee – Manufacturing is responsible for performing basic housekeeping duties on the shop floor.
Essential Functions
- Perform regular cleaning tasks to maintain a clean and orderly workspace, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing common areas.
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste materials in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Clean and maintain restrooms to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assist with organizing storage areas and maintaining the inventory of cleaning supplies.
- Support light maintenance activities such as painting, minor repairs, and equipment upkeep under the supervision of experienced technicians.
- Assist with basic landscaping tasks around the exterior of the manufacturing plant, such as weeding, watering plants, and maintaining outdoor areas.
- Assist in setting up and organizing meeting rooms, conference areas, and other shared spaces for company events or gatherings.
- Monitor and replenish supplies such as paper towels, soap, and other restroom essentials as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential maintenance issues or areas for improvement.
