Director of IT

JOB SUMMARY: The Director of IT is responsible for overseeing the organization’s information technology (IT) strategy and operations, as well as the development and implementation of innovative technologies that support the organization's goals and objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy that supports the company's goals and objectives.
2. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including project management, application development, and support.
3. Manage the organization's information technology systems, including hardware, software, and networks.
4. Collaborate with other leaders to ensure that IT initiatives are aligned with the company's overall strategy.
5. Identify and evaluate new technologies and solutions to drive innovation and improve performance.
6. Ensure the security and reliability of the company's technology infrastructure and data.
7. Develop and manage the IT budget and track spending to ensure that resources are used effectively.
8. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
9. Establish and monitor policies and procedures for the systems programming, operations, and security function.
10. Help to drive transformational change aligned with the company’s business goals.
11. Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in technology.
12. Act as a strategic business partner to all departments by facilitating access to critical business data and improving processes.
13. Ensure clear and consistent communication regarding technology advancements and changes to appropriate parties.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
Experience: At least ten years of experience in technology management. Previous experience managing or leading IT staff.
Skills: Strong understanding of IT operations, infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity, and data protection. Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement IT strategies that support business objectives. Experience managing IT projects, technology implementations, and organizational technology initiatives. Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to establish priorities and effectively manage IT resources. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization and handle sensitive and confidential information. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and long-term initiatives.
Requirements: Must be familiar with ERP systems, EPICOR preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software programs. Must be willing to travel.
