Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Customer Service Representative to provide exceptional support for WMATA operations throughout the DC–Maryland–Virginia metro region. This temporary, full-time role serves as the first point of contact for customer inquiries, complaints, and service requests. The ideal candidate will maintain a professional demeanor while providing accurate and timely assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer and return customer, internal, and outside agency phone calls by the next business day.
- Provide first-line response to eligibility customer complaints by reviewing, investigating, and closing cases in COM within 5 business days.
- Support customers with accessibility information needs, offering first-line guidance on MetroAccess services, policies, and procedures.
- Assist customers with general inquiries about company services, process transactions, and resolve issues efficiently.
- Work onsite at WMATA-designated facilities throughout the DMV area as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Entry-level role; minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work throughout the DC–Maryland–Virginia metro region.
- Professional and courteous demeanor, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
