Voice Assistant Test Specialist - Bilingual Portuguese

We are seeking a detail-oriented Voice Assistant Test Specialist to support the validation and development of in-vehicle voice assistant systems. The ideal candidate is fluent in Portuguese and English and will help ensure accurate voice command recognition, response behavior, and system performance. This role involves software testing voice interactions, translating phrases, documenting issues, and collaborating with engineering teams to improve system functionality.

3 month duration/temporary assignment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform voice command testing in Portuguese to validate recognition and response accuracy; support English testing as needed.
• Conduct testing on a lab test bench and occasionally within a vehicle environment.
• Translate English voice command phrases into Portuguese for system testing and validation.
• Verify voice assistant responses for correct functionality and language accuracy.
• Collaborate with engineering teams as development progresses; communicate risks/mitigations and escalate when blocked.
• Identify, document, and track defects; verify fixes and improvements under guidance of technical/field experts.
• Assist in creating and maintaining testing documentation; support occasional software/configuration updates on test vehicles.

Qualifications:

• Required: Fluency in Portuguese and English (spoken and written).
• Required: Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured testing procedures.
• Required: Ability to clearly document issues and test results.
• Required: Basic technical aptitude/tech savvy; comfort working with software or electronic systems.
• Required: Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and technical teams; proactive communication.
• Required: Valid /clean Driver's License
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not required if native Portuguese speaker and computer savvy).
• Preferred: Experience with voice assistants, speech recognition systems, software testing, or QA.
• Preferred: Experience in automotive systems/vehicle testing or broader technology industry.
• Preferred: Familiarity with bug tracking or test documentation tools.
• Preferred: Additional language skills (French and Spanish).
