We’re looking for a UL Team Lead & Deficiency Coordinator to join our growing team and help ensure compliance and excellence in our inspections/service operations
What You’ll Do:
You’ll play a key role in keeping our inspection processes accurate, efficient, and compliant. You’ll manage documentation and coordination for inspected systems—including UL listed systems, Joint Commission, and The Compliance Engine (TCE).
Your day-to-day will include:
- Processing and distributing inspection reports and maintaining accurate digital records in Inspect Point, Sedona, and TCE.
- Reviewing and forwarding deficiency reports to customers and internal service teams for quoting or scheduling repairs.
- Coordinating and tracking UL/TCE inspections, ensuring all documentation meets required standards.
- Collaborating with Fire and Inspection Supervisors to interpret results, resolve issues, and maintain compliance with UL and Joint Commission requirements.
- Acting as the main point of contact for customers following inspections—keeping them informed and supported.
- Creating and updating system records, tracking deficiencies, and following up on open proposals.
- Assisting with inspection materials, equipment, and scheduling support as needed.
- Promoting continuous improvement and teamwork across the Fire, Sprinkler, Security, and Communications divisions.
Requirements
What You Bring
- At least 5 years of field inspection experience (Fire, Security, or Life Safety industry preferred).
- Familiarity with Joint Commission, UL, and Record of Completion documentation.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and comfort with databases or inspection software.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay calm under pressure.
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- NICET certification and/or a technical degree are a plus!
