What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inbound/Outbound Materials Handler (RF & PIT Certified) position at Bericap Manufacturing - USA?
Bericap SC, LLC, part of a family-owned company founded in 1926, is hiring full-time, hourly Inbound/Outbound Materials Handlers to support warehouse operations. You will report to the Warehouse Supervisor and ensure our raw materials, WIP, and finished goods flow safely and accurately from receiving to shipping.
Role snapshot- Environment: Fast-paced warehouse and dock operation with strict GMP and food safety compliance.
- Core tools: RF scanners, BOL documentation, FIFO processes, 5S, and electronic inventory transactions.
- Physical: Stand/walk for the full shift; lift up to 35 lbs without assistance.
- Work injury-free; escalate food safety issues immediately.
- Observe GMPs at all times (no jewelry, cell phones, or nicotine in any form).
- Perform housekeeping and dispose of scrap in the correct containers.
- Wear required PPE; initiate corrective actions and suggest improvements via the See It, Sort It, Report It system.
- Load outbound trucks to the assigned BOL; apply FIFO to staging and loading.
- Inspect outbound shipments for accurate identification, damage, and packaging.
- Verify trailers are dry, clean, odorless, and physically secured (dock lock, tire chocks, nose jack) before entry.
- Seal and secure trailers; execute electronic inventory moves with RF scanners while loading.
- Complete all shipping paperwork with precision.
- Unload raw materials and check for damage or visible contamination.
- Receive inventory using RF scanners; create/print labels and ensure they match material details.
- Apply labels, store materials in the proper locations, and confirm Certificates of Compliance align with the PO and sample.
- Follow work instructions based on load type.
- Put away WIP and finished goods in designated rack/storage areas.
- Use RF scanners for all location moves; prevent finished goods from staying in drop zones longer than 24 hours.
- Keep production lines stocked; maintain the print cell with required WIP.
- Empty the print cell discharge conveyor and place product in the correct rack location.
- Keep docks and aisles clear; follow 5S and keep product out of drive aisles.
- Follow work rules, quality standards, GMP, and food safety policies.
- Complete assigned training on time and communicate clearly with team members.
- 2 years shipping/receiving experience preferred.
- 2 years Powered Industrial Vehicle experience required.
- Good math ability; strong written and verbal communication.
- Basic computer proficiency; excellent organizational skills.
High school diploma preferred.
