What are the responsibilities and job description for the Distribution Dock Operations Specialist position at Bericap Manufacturing - USA?
What if your next move kept an entire factory in motion?
At Bericap SC, LLC, we’re adding full-time, hourly Distribution Dock Operations Specialists who report to the Warehouse Supervisor. If you thrive on precision, safety, and customer focus, you’ll orchestrate the journey of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods—receiving, storing, staging, and shipping—while keeping our warehouse and dock in top condition.
Could this be you?
- Do you consistently follow GMPs and food safety rules (no jewelry, cell phones, or nicotine) and speak up when something looks off?
- Can you stand and walk for a full shift and lift 35 pounds without assistance?
- Are you confident with RF scanners, organized paperwork, and clear communication?
- Will you spot waste, take corrective action, and log ideas in the See It, Sort It, Report It system?
Your challenge
Keep trailers, materials, and documents aligned—every time. Before stepping into any trailer, you verify it’s dry, clean, odorless, and mechanically secured with a dock lock, tire chocks, and a nose jack. You manage receiving by unloading safely, checking for damage or visible contamination, printing and applying accurate labels, and storing materials in the right place. You confirm Certificates of Compliance match the PO and sample, and you follow the correct work instructions based on load type.
On the shipping side, you stage and load outbound orders against the assigned BOL, follow FIFO, and validate packaging, counts, and IDs. As you load, you post electronic inventory moves via RF scanner, seal and secure trailers, and ensure every piece of paperwork is accurate. Between trucks, you support production by stocking lines, keeping the print cell supplied with WIP, emptying its discharge conveyor, and putting product in the correct rack location. You make sure finished goods don’t linger in drop areas beyond 24 hours.
