What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager-Landscape Architect position at Bergmann Associates?
We are looking for a talented, licensed Landscape Architect to join #TeamBergmann as a Project Manager!
What You'll Do: Lead/manage landscape architecture and multi-disciplinary projects, lead proposal efforts for selected opportunities and serve as a design leader in the group. Participate in the development of creative and technical solutions in the planning and design of land development projects such as signature corridors, complete streets, parks and trails, site design, retail and commercial facilities, and college campuses
Who We're Looking For: The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or related field from an accredited university required; Masters degree is preferred. All applicants should have at least 8 years' professional experience, as well as prior client-facing and project management experience. Prior experience with business development, and cost estimation is preferred. All applicants should be licensed in the US; PA and/or NY licensure is preferred.
What You'll Need to Be Successful:
- Operational knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Programs, and SketchUp
- Operational knowledge of Civil3D and GIS
- Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and practices involved in production of quality technical plans, drawings, and specifications
- Knowledge of plant materials, design materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction of site related structures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Project Management experience
- Business development experience
- Client-facing experience
- Able to work closely with others and lead/work independently
Project Manager-Landscape Architects also:
- Work with Project Landscape Architect in the planning and design of landscape development projects
- Research zoning, precedents, and agency regulations related to proposed projects
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and partnering organizations
- Lead project team to create proposal and presentation materials
- Perform field inspections of site related construction to ensure compliance with specifications and construction documents, as requested; lead QA/QC efforts as needed
- Contribute to written reports for Visual Impact Assessments, Draft and Final Environmental Impact Statements, Engineer’s Reports, and proposals as requested
- Mentor and coach staff to grow professionally and increase productivity and professional skills
