What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Design Engineer-Entry Level position at Bergmann Associates?
We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join #TeamBergmann!
What You'll Be Doing: The Mechanical Design Engineer works with and supports senior engineers to develop plans and specifications for projects consisting of HVAC, plumbing, and fire prevention designs.
What We're Looking For: The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 1 years' experience in HVAC, Air Filtration, and Fire Prevention design. Prior experience creating/designing for industrial, commercial, retail, government, and education facilities is strongly preferred.
What You'll Need to Be Successful:
- A willingness to learn and work closely with others
- Willing to travel as needed
- Some experience in Revit
- Some experience in AutoCAD
- A team player who is also able to work independently
Our Mechanical Engineers also:
- Complete equipment sizing and load calculations
- Selections, Design, and Drafting of ductwork and piping systems
- Develop drawings including plans, schedules, and details
- Develop REVIT models to facilitate design work
- Provide additional engineering support of construction activities such as submittal reviews and site inspections
- Travel and field work to document existing conditions and to develop designs will be required
- Suggest new ideas and processes, stay informed of developments in practice areas, view obstacles as opportunities
