Duties
- Safely operate grounds maintenance and landscaping equipment, including power tools and irrigation systems, to support landscape upkeep.
- Deliver water supplies and horticultural materials to various job sites efficiently and on schedule.
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, planting, pruning, and native plant management.
- Use hand tools for planting, weeding, pest control, and soil preparation to promote healthy plant growth.
- Identify plants accurately and manage plant pest control measures using integrated pest management techniques.
- Maintain irrigation systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure proper watering schedules for diverse landscapes.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding watering schedules, landscape needs, and maintenance progress to ensure satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with greenhouse environments or landscape maintenance is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with gardening practices, plant identification, and growing techniques across various plant types.
- Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment including mowers, trimmers, and irrigation tools safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of pesticide management, plant pest control strategies, and native plant care.
- Experience climbing ladders or structures safely for pruning or landscape adjustments.
- Strong understanding of horticulture principles related to lawn care, farming, landscaping, and agriculture practices.
- Excellent client communication skills to provide professional updates and address customer questions confidently.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating a commercial vehicle preferred.
